At first glance, the overall impression of Inis Oírr tends to be an expanse of grey from the innumerable rock walls that criss-cross the 3km x 2km island.

I invite the viewer to take a closer look: discover the vibrant colour of our native butterflies and bees, the contrast of vivid purples, greens and yellows of the wild blackberries, orchids and bluebells, and be witness to quiet moments unique to the island.

I will forever be in awe of the natural beauty of this island and hope that my photos convey some of the joy and reverence I feel.
